Setting Tool Conditions

Set the cutting speed and pressure to match the type of sheet and tools used.

The creasing tool is optional. Using the Creasing Tool

Press the [TOOL] key on the local mode screen.

Press the [TOOL] key to select the required tool conditions.

Pressing the [TOOL] key toggles through the tool conditions in the following sequence.

Press to set the speed (SPEED).

Sets the speed for moving the tool when cutting or pen writing.

1 to 10 cm/s (in 1 cm/s steps)
15 to 70 cm/s (in 5 cm/s steps)
73 cm/s

Press .

The cursor moves to PRESS.

Press to set the pressure (PRESS).

Sets the pressure for cutting or pen writing.

Cutting/creasing: 10 g to 550 g
Pen: 10 to 150 g
10 to 20 g (in 2 g steps)
25 to 100 g (in 5 g steps)
110 to 550 g (in 10 g steps)

Press . (for cutting only)

The cursor moves to OFFSET.

Press to set the offset (OFFSET). (for cutting only)

Sets the distance from the center of the cutter holder to the cutting blade.

This is not displayed on the LCD if set to "0".

0 (0.00) to 250 (2.50 mm) (in 0.05 mm steps)

The cursor moves to the half cut setting (HALF).

Press to enable or disable half cut. (for cutting only)

When enabled, a dotted line is cut without cutting out the base paper. Set the following items when this is enabled.

Press .

The cursor moves to the half cut pressure setting (H-PRES).

Press to set the half cut pressure.

Sets the pressure for the uncut portions when using half cut.

0 to 300 g (in 5 g steps)

Press .

The cursor moves to the uncut length setting (H-LENG).

Press to set the uncut portion length.

Sets the uncut portion length when using half cut.

0.1 to 5.0 mm (in 0.1 mm steps)

Press .

The cursor moves to the cut length setting (C-LENG).

Press to set the cut portion length.

Sets the cut portion length when using half cut.

5 to 150 mm
5 to 20 mm (in 1 mm steps)
20 to 150 mm (in 5 mm steps)

Press the [ENTER/HOLD] key.

The settings are entered and the system returns to local mode.

The settings are retained even when the power is turned off.

		Sets the pressure for cutting, creasing, or pen writing. This setting is also required for half cuts.
Offset		OFFSET	Cutter	0 (0.00) to 250 (2.50 mm)	0.05mm
Offset		Sets the length from the center of the cutter holder to the cutting blade.
Half cut		HALF	Cutter	ON/OFF
Half cut		Cuts across a dotted line without cutting out the base paper. If HALF CUT is set to "ON", the three items listed below are displayed: Set the following three items and pressure in the Cutting Conditions menu:

	Half cut pressure	Sets the pressure for the uncut portion.
	Uncut length	H-LENG	Cutter	0.1 to 5.0mm	0.1mm
