About this Upgrade software

• FineCut9 serial key or FineCut/Coat9 serial key is required after software updating.
• Free upgrade to FineCut/Coat9 from FineCut8 is available if you have FineCut8 CD-ROM.
• How to issue a FineCut9 serial key from FineCut8 CD-ROM, please see here.

About installer and others

• FineCut/Coat9 does not work properly with Illustrator 2021 Ver25.0 to Ver25.2.0.
  Please use Illustrator 2021 Ver25.2.1 or later.
• When installation of FineCut/Coat9 in macOS is failed, please refer to here to take measures.
• How to recognize [KeySpan] USB conversion adapter on macOS High Sierra(10.13) from here.
• The serial key issuing tool (DiscChecker) does not support macOS 12.0 or later. Issue a serial key with a Mac which has installed macOS 11 or less, or Windows PC.
• This software cannot be installed in OS that is earlier than macOS 10.15. Please use this when you use OS that earlier than macOS 10.15.

The following functions have been change

[Ver2.7 -> Ver3.0]

- Improved function -

1. CFX series is supported.
   • Free Register Marks function
     To improve the accuracy of the alignment of the cuts, register marks can be arranged at any location.
   • V-Cut Tool function
     By cutting the folds with the V-Cut tool, the thick media folds can be sharpened.
   • Edge Detection function
     Detects the edge of the work and corrects the cut position and tilt. When a register mark is detected and cut the object from the back surface, it can be cut without using the mark tip by using the edge detection together.
   • Teaching Register Marks function
     By using a camera equipped to CFX and specifying the register mark position by Teaching, you can accurately cut the outline of printed materials with other manufactures' register mark.

   << CAUTION >>
   When using CFX and setting the output conditions by color or layer, be sure to check [Speed] before cutting.
   Execute cutting without checking [Speed], cut is made at a rate of 30 cm/s.

2. Illustrator 2024 is now supported.
3. macOS 14 (Sonoma) is now supported.

1. Fixed a bug that the cutting with tool which you specified may not be executed in CF3 series.

1. Mimaki Register marks SDK is supported.
   Register marks which created based on the Mimaki Register marks SDK with third party software can be recognized by FineCut.

[Ver2.2 -> Ver2.3]

1. CG-AR series is supported.
   With the division cutting function, cut misalignment due to sheet meandering can be suppressed.
2. CJV330 series is supported.

1. When installing on macOS 12.1 or later, "Adobe Illustrator was not found ...." is displayed.

- Improved function -

1. Illustrator 2022 is now supported.
2. macOS 12 (Monterey) is now supported.

-Fixed bugs-

1. When the cut data is created using the following functions, it is printed by RasterLink5.
   Frame Extraction / Outline Tool / Move to the Cut Layer / Register Mark Creation [Leave a rectangle as the cutting line].
2. When "Online information" is started, [Error in the parameter.] is displayed and information cannot be obtained.
3. Even if [Leaf Mode] is specified in [Detect Mark] function of Plot dialog, it will return to [Roll Mode] when [Detect Mark] is executed at the next time.

1. Illustrator (Ver25.3 or later) which supports native support to Apple Silicon is supported.
   FineCut/Coat9 for Illustrator Ver2.1 is supported only in the following System requirements.

1. Fixed the problem that the import / export of the output condition fails depending on the save location of the Output Condition file.

   FineCut9 for Illustrator Ver1.6 is supported only in the following System requirements.

-Fixed bugs-

1. Fixed a bug in which guidelines created by compound paths were output as cut lines.
2. Fixed a bug in which login user names containing double-byte characters would be recognized as guest users.
3. Illustrator may crash when using [LineEdit] tool has been fixed.
4. Fixed a bug in which exporting the output condition with a folder name or file name that contains double-byte characters will fail.

[Ver1.3 -> Ver1.4]

-Fixed bugs-

1. In CF22-1225, the issue that [Reverse Cut Mode] may not be performed correctly has been fixed.
2. On macOS 10.15, FineCut9 serial key cannot be issued by the serial key issuing tool  problem has been fixed.
3. A crash problem when FineCut9 is installed on the Korean version of Illustrator has been fixed.
4. The new information of FineCut9 can be acquired through the online information from this version.

[Ver1.2 -> Ver1.3]

- Improved function -

1. Illustrator 2020 is supported.

-Fixed bugs-

1. In some models, wrong value was displayed as a recommended register mark size in FineCut. The wrong value has been corrected .
2. The output condition setting function by each color and layer for CF3 (M head) can be now used.

- Fixed bugs -

1. When operating weed line in the Weed Line dialog, a problem with slow operation occurred.
2. The maximum number of favorites have been increased from 10 to 250, so that the problem, the favorite was not registered when there were more than 10 layer colors.
3. Size in plot preview dialog was not be able to be changed smoothly with mouse.
4. List display disappeared when you moved the color/layer in the plot preview dialog.
5. The output condition was not able to be saved by accounts other than the administrator privilege.

New functions of FineCut/Coat9

New functions

1. It can be now outputted directly to Trotec Speedy 100/300/360/400.
   It can be outputted by the procedure that outputs to Mimaki plotter.
   Register mark cut can be done by manually adjusting the RED pointer of the laser machine to the printed register mark.
2. CJV300 Plus is supported.
3. CG-FXII Plus is supported.
